Do people ever get on your nerves? Rub you the wrong way? Are there people who when you see them in the produce section at the grocery store you duck behind the Campbell’s Soup display? My parents used to have a funny phrase that they would use sometimes, “Everyone is a little strange except for me and you . . . .and sometimes I’m not so sure about you!”
The truth is, we are bound to have conflicts and differences of opinion and variations in personality and taste; even with the people we love the most and to whom we are closest. But if we cut ourselves off from everyone who is different from us, we are missing out on the amazing variety that life brings. Every person who crosses our path has something to teach us. Let’s open our hearts and minds to receive the incredible gifts which await us when we celebrate our differences!
