A Time for Reflection

by Candyl Eyster | Dec 12, 2016 | monday message, monday motivation, Spiritual Care, spirituality

The holiday season can hold such a mixture of things. The anticipation of family gatherings, important religious observances, elaborate meal preparations, the giving and receiving of gifts. It can also be filled with memories of loved ones who are no longer with us, a...

Finding Joy In The Ordinary

by Candyl Eyster | Sep 26, 2016 | inspiration, monday message, Spiritual Care

I subscribe to the “Happiness” theme on a news app on my phone. It posts scholarly research about what types of lifestyle choices bring us happiness and which do not. These scholarly articles are joined by testimonials from people who are in hot pursuit of happiness,...

Before I Die, I Want To…

by Candyl Eyster | Sep 12, 2016 | monday message, monday motivation, Spiritual Care, spirituality

A woman named Candy Chang was feeling deeply sad after losing someone dear to her. To help her cope with her grief, she got permission to paint the side of an abandoned house in her neighborhood in New Orleans with chalkboard paint. On it, she stenciled the beginning...

When your daughter is your best friend, it is especially important for you to be at her wedding. This was the case for Tidewell Hospice patient Linda Tuller and her daughter Tina. Tina wanted her mother to be a part of her special day, so our team made it happen. #hospice #hospicecare #HospiceMoments #tidewellhospice #EmpathHealth #FullLifeCare ... See MoreSee Less

After being shot down twice in Vietnam, Tidewell Hospice patient George Downing's wish came as a surprise to us. The former Army helicopter pilot requested to, "jump from a perfectly good airplane." The Tidewell Foundation, a member of Empath Health, was able to make that wish come true for George, age 72, through its Wishes Fund. We are elated that we could help create this special memory for George and his loved ones. Read more about George and his special jump in our recent blog.#WeHonorVeterans #VietnamVeteran #AirForce #Nonprofit #Hospice #Philanthropy #BucketList #Florida ... See MoreSee Less
