Monday, Aug. 17 Suncoast Hospice Resale Shoppes celebrated National Thrift Store Day by offering shoppers 25 percent off their entire purchases, giveaways, a chance at prizes, refreshments and lots of fun.
Kathy Rabon, executive director of the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, spoke with ABC News anchor John Thomas about the festivities as well as how the stores help so many in our community.
Suncoast Hospice’s three resale shoppes sales support the mission of Empath Health and its member organizations. The stores also allow those served by Empath Health’s services to pick-out items if they are unable to afford them.
Donations of gently-used household items, clothing, accessories, sporting goods, holiday decorations, etc. are always needed. Volunteers who help run the stores, are also always needed.
