August 17 is National Thrift Store Day: Local non-profit offers great deals to shop for a worthy cause
Clearwater, Fla. (Aug. 6, 2015) – Start your money-saving engines, Aug. 17 is National Thrift Store Day! Second-hand shopping has become one of the trendiest and wide-spread immersions to the fashion industry within the last decade, as savvy shoppers can take advantage of racks filled with brand names and designer duds for a fraction of their retail price. Celebrating this monumental day for every fashion devotee, Suncoast Hospice’s Resale Shoppes are offering spectacular incentives for fashionistas to shop for a worthy cause.
On Monday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all three of Suncoast Hospice’s Resale Shoppes in Countryside, Clearwater and St. Petersburg will be offering shoppers a 25 percent discount on their entire purchases. In addition, the first 200 visitors who arrive to each store will receive a free giveaway, and all visitors will be provided the opportunity to register for their chance to win prizes.
“The Suncoast Hospice Resale Shoppes are staffed almost entirely by our amazing volunteers and help support those in our community who require care and cannot afford it,” says Rafael Sciullo, CEO of Empath Health which houses Suncoast Hospice as one of their programs to care for the community. “We are really excited for the opportunity of National Thrift Store Day to offer great deals, while helping those in need.”
