We are all so busy.  When I talk to friends and colleagues and ask them how they are doing, it’s amazing how often the response is, “Crazy busy!”  Everyone seems to have more on their “To Do” list than can reasonably be accomplished in the day.  So the tendency is to begin multi-tasking and skipping lunch and working faster and faster until the day passes by in a blur and your nerves are frazzled and your energy is spent.  To add insult to injury, when this cycle kicks in it not only ends up depleting our energy but the quality of our work and the satisfaction we receive from our work plummets as well!

So, when we find ourselves falling into this familiar cycle here are a few survival tips:

  • Slow down not only your body but your thoughts as well
  • Do what is most important
  • Focus all your attention on one thing at a time
  • Take time to connect with others
  • Be realistic, don’t crowd your day

Amazingly, when we do these things we end up getting more work done, the work is higher quality, and we feel a deeper sense of satisfaction from it!

Have a great week everyone!
